This is the question we get most, and the honest answer is: less than you think.
The genuine requirements are a working oven, at least two burners, a sink, a refrigerator with room in it, and somewhere to put a cutting board. That’s it. Most Palm Springs rentals clear that bar comfortably, because the houses here were built to entertain and the kitchens were built to match.
What your chef brings: knives, pans, boards, thermometers, plating tools, and every ingredient. Chefs do not rely on a rental’s equipment, partly because it varies wildly and partly because a dull knife from a drawer is genuinely dangerous to work with.
What occasionally catches people out is counter space rather than appliances.
