Referral service disclaimer
Palm Springs Chef Service is a referral service, not a chef or catering company. We do not cook, prepare, handle, transport, plate, or serve food, and we do not employ chefs, cooks, or servers.
This website advertises private chef and catering services available in Palm Springs and the Coachella Valley. When you contact us, we may pass your inquiry and the information you provide to one or more independent third-party chefs, caterers, or food service businesses (“Providers”) who may be able to serve your request.
Any service you receive is performed by an independent Provider under a separate agreement between you and that Provider. We are not a party to that agreement, we do not supervise or control the Provider, and the Provider is not our employee or agent. Full detail is in our Terms of Service.
How your information is used
Information you submit — including your name, phone number, email address, event date, address, guest count, budget, and any dietary or allergy details — may be shared with one or more Providers so they can contact you and quote your event. Once shared, that Provider’s own privacy practices apply. If you do not want your information shared, please do not submit it. See our Privacy Policy for more.
Compensation disclosure
We may be compensated by a Provider for referring you. That compensation may take the form of a flat referral fee, a per-inquiry fee, a share of a booking, or a recurring arrangement such as leasing this website to a Provider. This is paid by the Provider and does not increase what you pay. Because we may be compensated, you should not treat anything on this site as an impartial or independent review of any Provider.
No endorsement and no verification of credentials
A referral is not an endorsement, recommendation, certification, or guarantee of any Provider. Unless we state otherwise in writing, we do not verify a Provider’s licenses, permits, food handler or food manager certifications, health department registration, business registration, insurance, background checks, training, or experience, and we do not inspect kitchens, equipment, or vehicles.
You are responsible for confirming that any Provider you hire is properly licensed, insured, and qualified before allowing them into your home or event and before paying them.
Food safety and allergy disclaimer
We do not prepare food and cannot guarantee the ingredients, handling, preparation, or allergen status of any food served by any Provider.
Food prepared in a private home, vacation rental, or other non-commercial kitchen is not prepared in an allergen-controlled environment. Cross-contact with allergens — including peanuts, tree nuts, milk, eggs, wheat, soy, fish, shellfish, and sesame — is possible even when precautions are taken. Consuming raw or undercooked meat, poultry, seafood, shellfish, or eggs may increase your risk of foodborne illness.
Any allergy or dietary information you give us is forwarded to a Provider as a convenience only. That is not a guarantee it will be received, understood, or accommodated. If you or a guest has a food allergy, intolerance, or medical dietary requirement, confirm it directly with the Provider before service. We accept no liability for any allergic reaction, foodborne illness, injury, or death arising from food prepared or served by a Provider.
